Courtney Witt, MS, LCMFT
Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist (Kansas) & Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Missouri)

I am passionate about engaging individuals, couples, and families as they navigate through life’s challenges. My work as a therapist is deeply grounded in offering a counseling experience that allows individuals to feel empowered, safe, and comfortable. I have a particular interest in helping individuals struggling to overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, infidelity, motherhood, grief, and other emotional concerns. In my practice, I utilize an Attachment Based Therapeutic model in which focuses directly on the family unit; counseling individuals to re-establish healthy roles, strengthen boundaries, and build an emotional and compassionate connection.

I began my clinical career working in community mental health, diagnosing and treating adults with severe mental illness. My work as a therapist continued at KidsTLC, a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, in Olathe, Kansas, where I provided psychotherapy services to adolescence (age 12-17) dealing with complex trauma. After working in PRTF, I transitioned into a group practice in Manhattan, KS, Andrews & Associates.

In addition to my clinical work in private practice in Overland Park, KS, Kansas City, MO and Manhattan, KS. I am also pursuing my certification in Emotion Focused Therapy and Daring Way- I am focused to the vulnerability, the pain and the process that therapy can provide to enhance ourselves and relationships. I am devoted to expanding my own personal and clinical expertise, and attend trainings and workshops regularly.

I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for all the diversity this world has to offer. What a blessing to have so many lived experiences, so uniquely different and valuable. I am an ally for individuals from various cultural or social backgrounds as well as different expressions of gender and sexuality.

I am beyond grateful that my journey has led me here.
